Do you have problems interpreting the information you are getting from the luff tell-tales?  Not sure how to move the sail to stop it stalling? This patented, tell-tale guide is an invention intended to help you make the most of information from the tell-tales and sail better as a result.  Rather than trying to remember the confusing diagrams in sailing manuals it puts the information where you need it – on the sail.

It consists of a pair of stickers fitted to each side of the sail, near to the luff, where the tell-tales are located. The existing tell-tales, if fitted, are removed and re-applied on top of the guides. The guide shows in which direction to move the sail, or the tiller, to correct the error revealed by the tell-tales.

The pack includes two stickers, port and starboard, together with a pair of tell-tales and instructions for fitting and use. The guides can be fitted easily to any small, cat-rigged dinghy such as a Topper, Pico, Laser, Comet or Solo. They are made from Insignia fabric, the same material used for sail numbers, and are surprisingly tough and hard-wearing.

The guide is intended as a sail training aid but can be left permanently on the sail. It can help even experienced sailors to trim their sails better. Users who want to use the guide while racing should check that their class association rules permit it. Returns accepted provided that the guide is unused.
