This Tanzania Peaberry offers a lively, layered cup with notes of black tea, chocolate, blackberry, kiwi, and lemony citrus acidity. The profile is sweet, balanced, complex, and bright, making it an excellent choice for home roasters and specialty coffee enthusiasts.
The Southern Estates are located in Mbozi and Mbeya, in the southern highlands of Tanzania. Although total production is usually limited, coffees from the Utengule, Lunji, and Kanji Lalji estates have earned a strong reputation for quality.
The Utengule coffee estate is a traditional, well-managed East African coffee farm known for producing exquisite Arabica coffee. The estate features rare trees, flowers, rivers, and a rich natural environment. Across the farm, coffee is grown, harvested, processed, washed, and sun-dried with care.
Tanzania Peaberry can shine at a light-medium to medium roast, where its bright citrus acidity, tea-like character, berry notes, and chocolate sweetness can remain balanced. For a deeper profile, a medium-dark roast may bring out more chocolate body while softening the acidity.
This is green, raw, un-roasted coffee. It must be properly roasted before grinding, brewing, or consuming. Green coffee may naturally contain minor agricultural material such as small stones, husk, burlap fibers, or imperfect beans. Please inspect, sort, process and roast responsibly.
