Royal Indian Set of WWII Kashmir 1944 Airforce officers handmade engraved walnut set of antique cigarette/cigar box, and matching bookends and book trough.
Owned by a couple who during the war, she worked in the cartography office and her husband was an officer in the Royal Indian air force.
They bear the markings of the airforce with AIF inscribed in the box and the gentleman's initials on one of the bookends.
Rare to find such treasured and personalised wartime antiques in this time warp condition.
They're made from walnut or a similar hardwood and each is intricately carved, the pictures really don't do justice to how perfect and immaculate they are.
Absolutely gorgeous condition, having been carefully treasured they bear only the slightest signs of wear. The outer of one of the trough end has a couple of hairline marks that are barely noticeable.
