- Amitabha Buddha, or Amitayus Buddha at the Amitabha Hall: Amitabha Buddha (infinite light), or the Buddha Amitayus (infinite life), the most important and popular Buddha of Mahayana. The name "Infinite Light" symbolizes infinite wisdom, while the name "Infinite Life" symbolizes infinite compassion. His mudras are divided into nine classes according to the merits of sentient beings. Cf. (Beopjang Bhikku), the name of the Bodhisattva who later became Amitabha Buddha. Cf. also his Forty Eight Great Vows.

- Avalokiteshvara: The Bodhisattva of Great Compassion, or the Goddess of Mercy at the Hall of the Bodhisattva of Hearing the Sound of the World, or the Hall of Perfect Penetration. A Sanskrit word for the Bodhisattva who perceives the sounds of the world. He saves all beings by hearing their voices of suffering and cries for help. There are many names for this Bodhisattva of Great Compassion, and he is also an attendant Bodhisattva sitting on the left of Amitabha Buddha. Cf. (Yukgwaneum) Six Bodhisattvas of Great Compassion.

- Ksitigarbha, or the Earth Treasury King of Great Vow Bodhisattva at the Hall of the Bodhisattva of Hell: One of the four great Bodhisattvas who saves all beings in hell before the coming of Maitreya or the future Buddha. His head is shaved, and he holds a staff with six rings suspended from it. Cf. Beopjang Bhikku, the name of the Bodhisattva who later became Amitabha Buddha.
