1960 Cleveland Indians Team Signed OAL Cronin Baseball
In 1960, the Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers made history by trading managers and coaches. On August 3, 1960, the Indians traded Joe Gordon for Jimmy Dykes, which was the first and only time in baseball history that managers were traded. The two teams also traded coaches, with Jo-Jo White of the Indians and Luke Appling of the Tigers swapping jobs to remain assistants to their new managers. *
