The factory pads on these fail or gum up early !!
Before you decide if the board needs repair or a rebuild, open it up, and clean the contact areas on the board and the rubber parts under the pad with a qtip and a little alcohol. Then buff off the alcohol residue with a dry qtip. See if that changes things
