Overview

Teton-Bond™ 130 is a high-performance Petrobond®* clay-based foundry sand that is professionally formulated, produced, and quality inspected in the USA. This fine-grained 130 mesh silica sand provides an excellent balance between mold detail reproduction and venting for consistent, high-quality castings.

Directions

• Sand should be riddled (broken up) prior to placing against pattern
• Moderately heavy ramming or pressing is required for optimal mold performance
• Use appropriate mold release (Teton-Part™ or similar) with all patterns
• Use and store above 65°F — sand may become powdery if exposed to cold

Regenerating Dry Sand

Add a tiny amount of isopropyl alcohol (less than 1/2 teaspoon per 10lb) via spray bottle and mix well. Allow alcohol to evaporate completely before use.
