On the basis of legal provisions on the issuance of TREASURY BILL (RIZNIČKA NAVJERNICA) of December 26, 1941, the number CDXXX-2102-Z-1941, Croatian State Bank issued3.75% treasury bill of Croatian Independent States.
NOTE: Croatian State Bank issue all Croatian banknotes during World War II.
Lending has served the purpose of financing the armed forces of Independent States Of Croatia and to support and assist the army of fascist Germany, which had to be assisted with more than 30% of the then state budget.
This is the first example of such a war loan, which I have in hands after 20 years that I've been collecting paper money, etc. This treasury bill is counterpart to pure partisan war loansfrom the Second World War known as the TREASURY BILL ( BLAGAJNIŠKI ZAPIS ) or LOAN of Anti-Fascist Council of National Liberation of Croatia ( ZAJAM ATIFAŠISTIČKOG VIJEĆA NARODNOG OSLOBOĐENJA HRVATSKE ).
Partisans is the loan and TREASURY BILL used to raise money for arms purchases and the like for liberation from the occupier, and the fascists for the longer staying in power. Both of them are extremely rare and seldom seen on paper money markets!
Nazi War TREASURY BILL in high XF/AU condition.
