These pre-wired 0402 warm white SMD LEDs are purpose-built for Z scale and N scale model railroad structure lighting, where the 1mm × 0.5mm chip size and 12V resistor-equipped leads let you drop them directly into buildings, street lamps, and interiors without additional components.
Each LED operates at 12V with a 20mA forward current and outputs a warm, soft white light with no specific wavelength — just a natural incandescent-style glow at 300–400 mcd through a clear diffuse lens with a 110° viewing angle. The 0402 (1005 metric) chip size is the smallest practical hand-installable LED format, and each unit ships with approximately 15cm (6 inches) of pre-soldered wire leads and a built-in current-limiting resistor, so no external resistor is needed on a 12V supply.

- N scale (1:160) and Z scale (1:220) structure lighting — interior room lighting, storefront windows, station platforms; warm white replicates incandescent bulb color accurately at these scales
- DCC decoder function outputs — compatible with 12V DCC track power; the built-in resistor handles the drop, making these plug-and-play for structure lighting off a decoder auxiliary output

Wiring & power notes
DC power recommended: LEDs are designed for DC. Running on AC will cause flickering and reduce lifespan. If using a low-voltage AC source (model railroad transformer, DCC track voltage), convert it to DC with a MB1S bridge rectifier plus a 100µF 50V electrolytic capacitor for clean, ripple-free output.
