These pre-wired yellow/gold 1206 SMD LEDs are built for 12V DC systems right out of the package — no resistor math, no soldering required, just connect and light up.

Each LED runs at 12V forward voltage, draws 20mA, and emits warm yellow/amber light at a 592.5nm wavelength with a wide 110° viewing angle. The 1206 (3.2mm × 1.5mm) package uses a clear diffuse lens for even, soft illumination, and comes with approximately 15cm (6 inches) of pre-soldered lead wire — the built-in resistor handles 6V, 9V, 12V, and 18V sources without modification.

Common applications

Automotive instrument cluster repair: Yellow/amber is the OEM color in many GM, Chevrolet, and Buick clusters (2007–2014 Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade, Enclave) — 1206 is the confirmed replacement size for stock cluster lighting. Also fits Nissan Frontier, Chevy Colorado, and GMC Canyon (2004–2012) gauge panels.

Wiring & power notes

DC power recommended: LEDs are designed for DC. Running on AC will cause flickering and reduce lifespan. If using a low-voltage AC source (model railroad transformer, DCC track voltage), convert it to DC with a MB1S bridge rectifier plus a 100µF 50V electrolytic capacitor for clean, ripple-free output.
