These are 12V pre-wired flashing SMD LEDs in the 0606/0603 package — a self-contained blink-ready component that plugs straight into any 12V DC source without needing an external resistor or timing circuit. The built-in resistor and animation controller make them especially practical for console mods, instrument panel work, and any small enclosure where adding discrete components isn't feasible.
Each LED operates at 12V forward voltage with a 110° diffuse viewing angle and 675 mcd luminosity — bright enough for indicator use but soft enough that the diffuse lens avoids harsh hotspots. The 0606 die sits in a standard 0603 footprint, and each unit arrives with approximately 15cm (6 inches) of pre-soldered wire, so you can solder direct to pads or use small connectors without stripping bare wire first. Animation is a clean on/off flash driven by the onboard IC.
Animated LEDs (flashing, flickering, fading) require DC — they will not operate correctly on AC power. If you are working from a low-voltage AC source such as a model railroad transformer or DCC output, convert to DC first with a MB1S bridge rectifier paired with a 100µF 50V electrolytic capacitor for smoothing. Without the capacitor, the animation pattern may glitch on the pulsed DC output of a bare rectifier.
Do animated LEDs work on AC power?
| Power Source | Bridge Rectifier | 100µF Capacitor |
|---|---|---|
| DC power supply | No | No |
| 12V AC landscape transformer | Required | Required |
| DCC track power | Required | Required |
Animated LEDs require DC. Convert AC sources to DC using a bridge rectifier plus a 100µF smoothing capacitor for clean, ripple-free animation.
Quality LEDs made in the USA since 2005.
Most of the times the postage on our items are free, but when it is not we do our best to make sure that you pay very close to the actual postage price. If you feel this is not the case on items that are not "Free Shipping" then please let us know and we will make the adjustment before you pay. We do ask that you email/message us before paying for the auctions you have "won". Thanks.
We will always ship items out as fast as we possibly can. Most times your item will even ship the same day you purchased. We typically quit processing new orders between noon and 4:00 PM (PST). Please simply check our feedback to show you how quickly we ship. Nearly every feedback comments on this.
We do our best to provide fair shipping prices on all the items. You will have the best shipping prices if you checkout/pay after you have chosen all the items that you would like to purchase. Ebay will combine all shipping costs that are qualified for combined shipping costs.
We will leave excellent feedback up receipt of payment. We ask that once you have received your item you leave an equivalent feedback.
If, for some reason, there is an issue that needs resolved, please simply send us a message. We are people, just like everyone else, and are willing to help resolve any issues there may be.
Please contact us sooner than later if you have questions regarding a product/shipment/installation. We would rather you ask before installing/using an item, if you are unsure, and get it right the first time.
We will address negative feedback and "star" ratings. Negative feedback is meant to be used if a seller is completely unresponsive and unwilling to work with you. We are ALWAYS willing to help and resolve any issues. We do ask that you please don't send any "rude" emails and give us a change to help. Again, this is such a rare instance we can nearly guarantee this won't apply to you. We ship the items as fast as we possibly can and via the methods stated, after that we have no say in what the postal system does with it. If they go beyond the estimated delivery time, it is not our fault. Please give us a break regarding this. Email us if you feel your item should have been delivered and isn't.
