I personally have used my jewelry for years on all my dolls, including the vintage ones! Gold and silver plated alloys are used that are tarnish-resistant and coated with a sealer. For extra safety, ear guards will be included for earrings. Be advised that no metal jewelry, even solid, 14k or gold filled ones, can guarantee no green ear will occur after an extended length of time. All gold has some trace of base metals. Earrings with vinyl posts can also melt in extreme conditions. The good news is that you can use most any tarnish-resistant metal or vinyl earrings if you store or display your doll in the right conditions, such as low humidity or AC. Extended periods of time (several weeks) are not advised unless an extra layer of sealer (like clear nail polish) has been applied to parts touching the doll's skin and dried overnight before wearing. –– Recommended for temporary displays –– BUYER USES AT THEIR OWN DISCRETION.
