2006-2007 HONDA CBR1000RR OEM size is 530x114 o-ring chain, 16t FT Sprocket. 42t Rear Sprocket

For QUICK ACCELERATION gear ratio (off the line, roll on's, wheelies), request during checkout in "Add Message" tab a 15t (-1t) front sprocket and a 42t (+1t) rear.

The -1t front sprocket change is a versatile change because you can go back to the stock size 16t with same chain, and back to near stock ratio.

Your highway speed rpm's will be higher than orig. and terminal top speed will be less.

For FREEWAY RATIO , FASTER TOP SPEED, and LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM's, request during checkout in "Add Message" tab a 40t rear sprocket and a 112L chain.

the -1t rear sprocket change requires a different chain length, which is shorter than the orig. chain length used w/std 41t)

Your initial off the line acceleration will be slightly slower than original, highway rpm's lower, and faster top speed.

Original Factory Supplied OEM size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's, and reasonable high speed engine rpm's with

the least amount of compromise on either top end or low end acceleration. OEM gearing is the DEFAULT size supplied.

* A 1 tooth change in the front is a more noticeable change because it is equivalent to a 3 tooth change in the rear..

EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front = +3 teeth rear) or (+1 tooth front = -3 teeth rear)

EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front and +1 tooth rear combined is the same as +4 rear only without changing the front)

Half the Power Loss (Compared with Normal O-Ring) X-Ring construction reduces friction by twisting between the side plates instead of being squashed. Normal O-Rings and other makers’ modified O-Rings have squashed points that increase friction. The twisting action of the X-Ring disperses the pressure and minimizes power loss.
