How It Works

Simply install the Bearing Protector in place of your normal grease cap. Using a grease gun, fill the hub until the piston on the Bearing Boss extends outwards. This ensures the hub is full and maintained at the right pressure. Over-filling will purge excess grease from the edges, ensuring the bearings are not starved or over-packed.

Installation Tips

1. Dismantle and inspect bearings for wear or pitting before fitting.
2. Check and replace any worn oil seals.
3. Re-pack hubs with high-quality multi-purpose grease.
4. Place Bearing Protector Boss against hub and tap into place with a wooden block.
5. Fill using a grease gun until the piston extends.
