Offered is a rare invitation to a special sitting of the Supreme Court of the United States on October 9, 1990, at which David H. Souter was given the oath of office and sworn in as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.  This invitation is a rare one as it was sent to a very limited number of special guests.  The card, with the Court's seal in raised gold, measures 4.5 by 6 inches.  It is in excellent condition.  The signature is in ink.   I obtained this directly from the Justice and it is from my personal collection.
