Fashion Illustration "The Bloomer Costume" Circa 1885 . This charming and unusual Victorian fashion illustration is titled " The Bloomer Costume " and shows a fashionable young woman in an unusual outfit. It features a short full skirt over ankle length bloomers and a fitted jacket. The out fit is completed by a shallow, wide brimmed hat. She is standing  in a country setting with trees and flowers. It is framed in a faux finish marble frame of the late 19th century. Both the print and the frame are in fine original condition with only pinpoints of gesso exposed through the faux finish.  The size over-all is 11 1/2" x 15 1/2", the print is approximately 9" x 13".
