Tough and reasonably light alloy tubular wheelset for cyclocross or road use. 

Rims are Velocity Major Tom made from lightweight alloy. 440g per rim which is lighter than a clincher rim of the same strength. This is the rim brake model with machined sidewalls. Suitable for tubular tyre sizes between 23mm and  28mm and all CX tubulars. 

Hubs are the lightweight and high performance Novatec A171/F172 models. Standard 100mm wide front hub and 130mm wide rear hub. Suitable for 11 speed Shimano/SRAM road cassettes and 9/10 speed Shimano/SRAM cassettes with the supplied spacer.  These are lightweight hubs with high quality sealed bearings.

The wheels come as standard with lightweight QR skewers.

There is choice of 24/28 or 32/32 spokes per wheel. Standard spokes are the high quality Sapim Race 2.0/1.8/2.0. double butted spokes. Made from 100% stainless steel and fastened with solid brass nipples.

The wheels are built using a Radial/2x pattern for the 24/28 spoke version and 3x for the 32/32 spoke version.

Total wheelset weight around around 1785g for the 32/32 spoke version and 1640g for the 24/28 spoke version

Spoke options:

Black Sapim Race spokes +£20

Sapim Laser spokes in silver with alloy spoke nipples- saves 90-120g but more flexi than Race +£30/pair for silver or £50 for black

Sapim D-Light spokes with silver alloy nipples - saves 70-90g +25 for silver or £45/pair for black

Sapim CX Ray aero spokes - saves 90-120g but are stronger than all of the above + £100 silver or £120 black

Silver alloy nipples with Race spokes - saves 40g - +£10

Coloured alloy spoke nipples (red, blue, black, gold, purple) +£18

Hub options:

SRAM XDR or Campagnolo 11 speed freehub +£25

Steel rear axle for heavier riders +£12

Novatec A291SL/F482 superlight hubs (24/28 spoke version only) - saves 85g +£45

Miche Primato hubs +£30
