This kit includes spacers to mount an e36 or e46 steering rack into an e30 3-series 1984-1991. This auction is more specific to airbag model e30 (91-93) 3-series which have a different style steering column which does not require further modification of the lower steering universal joint.

There are two main advantages to upgrade your steering rack:
- Quicker Steering Ratio - All later 3-series steering racks have a quicker lock-to-lock steering ratio which results in a much more crisp and precise steering feel. This is far from a subtle difference!
- Availability - Good condition e30 steering racks are becoming harder to come by in good used condition and later model steering units are much more readily available and priced nearly the same if not cheaper in many cases. Even if you are not interested in the performance upgrade this may end up as a more practical replacement for an aged/leaking steering rack.
