This looks like the original 1st edition, although not specifically stated so in the book, made in USA.

It is a larger sized tome, 7 by 10 " in medium green cloth hard cover embossed edges and with gilded title on the front and also on the spine, 302 pages, including general index and list of the Meaning of Irish Place Names in the back. Here is one of the most attractive tourist and travel books on Ireland to be published in America in the early part of the 20th Century, with poetry sections and lovely descriptive writing as well as magnificent sepia toned illustrations throughout.

Condition graded FINE- quite perfect, actually but I note personal 1979 dedication in green ink on top of 1st page flyleaf only, along with a blank decorative presentation label. Two FREE cards found within the book (St Patrick and Our Lady of Knock) are also included ( cf photos #1 & 3).
