These 6V pre-wired UV/purple 5mm LEDs are ready to drop into your project with no resistor math required — the built-in resistor is already calculated for 6V DC operation, so you connect directly to power and go.
Each LED runs at a 400nm wavelength, which sits at the visible edge of ultraviolet — producing that deep purple-blue glow used in blacklight effects and accent lighting. They draw 20mA at 5–6V forward voltage, output 2,500–3,500 mcd of brightness through a clear 5mm lens with a focused 25° viewing angle, and come with approximately 15cm (6 inches) of pre-attached wire.

- RC crawlers and scale builds: UV/purple accent lighting on Axial SCX10, Traxxas TRX-4, and 1:10 scale truck bodies — underbody glow, interior cabin effects, or chassis lighting strips

Wiring & power notes
DC power recommended: LEDs are designed for DC. Running on AC will cause flickering and reduce lifespan. If using a low-voltage AC source (model railroad transformer, DCC track voltage), convert it to DC with a MB1S bridge rectifier plus a 100µF 50V electrolytic capacitor for clean, ripple-free output.
