These 5mm yellow/gold LEDs flash on and off automatically at approximately 1Hz — no external driver or microcontroller needed — making them the right choice when you need a self-contained blinking indicator straight out of the package.
Each LED operates at 1.9–2.1V forward voltage and 20mA, emitting at 592.5nm (yellow/amber) through a clear lens with a 25° viewing angle and 9,000–11,000 mcd of output. At 5mm diameter with a round top profile, they fit standard 5mm PCB footprints and panel holders directly.

Wiring & power notes
Animated LEDs (flashing, flickering, fading) require DC — they will not operate correctly on AC power. If you are working from a low-voltage AC source such as a model railroad transformer or DCC output, convert to DC first with a MB1S bridge rectifier paired with a 100µF 50V electrolytic capacitor for smoothing. Without the capacitor, the animation pattern may glitch on the pulsed DC output of a bare rectifier.
