These 8mm straw hat LEDs deliver a wide 120° viewing angle in a cool white (water clear lens), making them the go-to choice for projects where broad light spread matters more than a tight focused beam.
Each LED runs on 3.2–3.6V forward voltage at 20mA and produces 30–35 lumens of clean, cool white light through a water clear lens. At 8mm diameter with a flat straw hat profile, they sit low and wide against a surface — ideal where standard 5mm domes would protrude too far or cast too narrow a cone. No specific wavelength applies; the output is a broad-spectrum white.

Wiring & power notes
DC power recommended: LEDs are designed for DC. Running on AC will cause flickering and reduce lifespan. If using a low-voltage AC source (model railroad transformer, DCC track voltage), convert it to DC with a MB1S bridge rectifier plus a 100µF 50V electrolytic capacitor for clean, ripple-free output.
