Genuine, antique Roseville Pottery "Donatello" jardiniere / planter, originally introduced by the legendary Ohio company circa 1915–1916.
This classic Arts & Crafts period piece features an iconic, highly detailed relief band depicting cherubs (putti) playing under trees against a rich, warm brown background. The scene is beautifully bracketed by green-tinted fluted borders. The bottom of the piece features the highly desirable, authentic hand-stamped blue factory "R" mark. It also features a small incised number "6" near the bottom edge, which was a standard factory size or mold code marker used by the potters during production. Together, these marks firmly verify its early heritage.

Condition Notes (Please Read Before Bidding)
This piece is being offered in as-is, authentic antique decorator condition. It is an ideal entry-level piece for a collector or a beautiful rustic addition to a farmhouse display. Please review the photos carefully to see the following character details:
• Hairline Crack: There is a tight hairline crack running down from the top rim into the body. This crack is completely smooth to the touch and the piece remains structurally stable and rigid.
• Rim Wear: A couple of small, shallow flea-bite chips are present along the upper scalloped rim edge.
• Cosmetic Paint Drip: There is a small drip of vintage white paint running down a section of the fluted rim. We have left this original to the estate find, but it may be removable with careful softening.
• Crazing & Staining: The exterior and base show prominent, beautiful age-related glaze crazing lines typical of a 110-year-old earthenware piece. The interior and unglazed base ring show dark mineral staining from historical use with potting soil.
