This vintage 1956 hardcover numbered Memorial Edition with slipcase is in excellent condition. Handwritten book number 68 is also an association copy, as it is signed by the illustrator, Professor Sam Smith of University of New Mexico and inscribed to his mentor, Professor Ralph Douglass, who owned this book. Ralph Douglass was a noted artist and calligrapher, who chaired the Art Department at UNM for many years. Book is like new and slipcase is very nice with some very light edge and corner wear.
