Original Gulf War Iraqi Propaganda Airdrop Safe Conduct Surrender Pass 1990

An original US produced airdrop propaganda leaflet from the First Gulf War (1990-91). This is a "Safe Conduct Pass" or surrender leaflet which instructs the bearer on how to safely and correctly surrender to coalition forces, both in English and Iraqi. It states that the surrendering soldier must remove the magazine from their weapon and place it over their left shoulder before raising their hands above their head and approaching Multi-National forces positions. It states that if the bearer does not do this, they will die.

Such leaflets were incredibly effective during the Gulf War with many Iraqi soldiers being found holding these leaflets upon surrender. A large percentage cited them in their decision to defect and over 99% had acknowledged seeing them when questioned.

This is an original battlefield pickup from the Gulf War.
