The Preston Innovation Rig Station is a great bit of kit. However, I needed an add-on to help make 4, 6 and 12-inch hook lengths.

As you can see in the images, this rule allows you to make hook lengths from 2 to 12 inches. This tool is just for getting the line to the right length, ready for the loop tyer.

How to Fit

• Screw in the two smooth posts that come with the Rig Station, using the holes at 0 and 12 inches.
• Line up the small holes on the rule and push it onto the posts.

How to Use the Rule

• Attach a hook to your line.
• Place the hook on the first smooth post at 0 inches.
• Loop the line around the post at your desired length so that both pieces of line are side by side.
• Pinch the two pieces of line together, then gently remove the loop and hook from the posts.
• Use your loop tyer of choice to tie the loop.
• You can use the rule for longer Hook lengths just by doubling up. (EX: 0 to 12 and back round to 0 = 24 inch)

Storage

• The rule will fit into the long storage box built into the Rig Station.
