This attractive, boxed miniature travel iron is just 10.5cm long from back to point. It is 5.5cm at the widest part and it stands 6cm at the highest point.
From the 1950s, it is British made by Clayton, Lewis and Miller Ltd. The striking red finish is just one of several colours that were on offer. Popular for some years, the long, plastic coated flex indicates it is a later model.
The attached plug was made to fit into a hotel light socket.
The inner part of the stand is asbestos, so it is wrapped in cling film.
In box it weighs 770 grammes.
