This sale is for a pack of 12 needles. 

It is very important to have spare needles on hand when smocking so do keep a supply. It is so annoying to delay your project, should you break or bend needles. 

Set  your pleater with the number of needles needed for the smocking project and a holding rower top and bottom.

From my experience it is important to make sure your pleater needles are all the same size and length. check that all the needles to be used are correctly in place.

NB If there are some needles that are bent or are incorrectly placed, remove them.

Run some waxed paper through the smocking machine to lubricate the needles before you wind the fabric through.
