Classic Simplex LJ alloy friction shifter for a bike with a single chainwheel. Made in the 1950`s to early 1960`s. This example has the optional tensioning screw with "wings" instead of the common slotted head screw. It also has the alloy plate with printed LJ logo (a bit faded but you can still make it out). Also comes with correct cable adjuster that is so often missing from these.

Condition-Nice refurbished condition. Disassembled then all parts have been cleaned and the alloy lever have been lightly hand polished. Regreased and moving smoothly. Chrome finish on band does have some pitting - please see photos. Mounting nut and bolt are excellent (new nut). Please see all photos.
