Description:
A mint hinged group of eight St Kitts-Nevis King George VI definitive stamps from the 1938-1950 period, comprising the ½d, 1d, 1½d, 2d, 2½d, 3d, 6d and 1s values. The lot includes both the small-format royal portrait values and the larger pictorial designs combining the King’s portrait with local allegorical or historical scenes. Colours are various across the denominations and appear reasonably fresh. The reverse images show original gum with visible hinge traces and some gum disturbance, consistent with mint hinged condition. Perforations appear generally intact and centring is acceptable to fine across the group.
