A large vintage Danish studio pottery bottle vase by ceramicist Jette Hellerøe for BR Keramik, Denmark, dating from around the late 1960s–1970s. This distinctive Scandinavian modern stoneware vessel combines an elongated bottle form with a small handle, pouring lip and fitted ceramic stopper.

The surface is finished in a softly variegated green glaze with visible horizontal throwing lines, giving the piece a tactile, handmade character. Broad bands of turquoise, blue, brown and pale lavender encircle the body, with the deep blue glaze developing a feathered, almost flame-like pattern where the colours meet.

The tall, narrow silhouette and earthy layered glazes are characteristic of Danish studio pottery of the period, sitting naturally within Scandinavian modern and mid-century modern design. At 34 cm (13.4 in) high, it also has enough scale to work as a statement ceramic piece on a sideboard, console table, shelf or alongside a collection of vintage Scandinavian ceramics.
