Description:
A useful mint hinged group of Canada King George VI small portrait definitive plate or inscription blocks, comprising four-stamp blocks of the 1c, two separate 2c blocks, 3c, 4c, and 5c values. The stamps show the familiar late-1930s portrait designs in Green, Brown, Carmine, Orange, Blue, with selvedge inscriptions and plate markings present. The fronts appear fresh overall with generally sound perforations and fine centring for this type of material. The reverse images show original gum with visible hinge traces and areas of gum disturbance, especially in the selvedge and upper areas. No major faults are apparent though some uneven gum and light age-related toning is visible.
