Battery

The BIOS reports the battery condition as Excellent.

HWiNFO reports:

Design capacity: 60,002mWh

Current full-charge capacity: 42,340mWh

Reported battery wear: 29.4%

The battery charges and operates correctly. As with any used laptop, actual battery runtime will vary considerably depending on screen brightness, workload, Wi-Fi use, power settings and other factors.

BIOS / Security

Both the System Password and Administrator Password show as “Not Set” in the Dell BIOS.

The machine therefore has no known BIOS administrator or system password lock.

Condition

The laptop is in good refurbished used condition with normal signs of previous use.

Please note that there are two small marks on the LCD panel. These are mainly noticeable when displaying a very dark or black background and are much less noticeable during normal use. A close-up photograph has been included specifically to show them.

The marks do not affect the operation of the touchscreen or the laptop.

Raw Carbon-Fibre Lid Finish

The original soft-touch coating on the outer display lid had deteriorated with age. Rather than leaving the worn coating in place, it was carefully removed, exposing the carbon-fibre composite weave underneath.

A very thin protective epoxy coating has then been applied over the exposed surface to provide a cleaner, more consistent and durable finish.

This gives the laptop a distinctive raw carbon-fibre appearance.

Please note that this is a refurbished/custom finish rather than the original Dell factory surface. It is not absolutely perfect and some minor variation in the finish may be visible from certain angles. This is shown as accurately as possible in the photographs.
