Product Description:
This is a vintage 1960s Gretsch "Nameband" model snare drum, featuring the iconic round badge 4157. The drum measures 14 x 5.5 inches and boasts a 6-ply maple Jasper shell with silver sparkle covering, likely a rewrap. It includes original 8-tension die-cast hoops, delivering a moderately attacky yet tight, soft, and mild sound that epitomizes the classic 1960s Gretsch tone. While the drum shows age-appropriate wear such as minor scratches and pits on parts, there are no significant damages. The shell remains in excellent condition and produces a great sound. This drum is not fully original due to the rewrapped covering but remains highly functional and desirable for vintage drum enthusiasts.
Condition: Used, rated B+ with some minor scratches and marks consistent with age and use, but fully playable.
