1999 Hamer USA Chaparral in Metallic Black Sparkle Maple Board W/Sustainiac/OHSC-Excellent.

Very cool and very rare, due to the maple fret board, this beauty from '99 is in superb condition.

The Black Sparkle finish is pretty awesome and it looks just plain killer under any kind of lights.

The guitar is all stock and original and most importantly, the Sustainiac is intact and functioning.

As you probably know if you are reading this, the maple board is quite a rarity and would indicate a special order as the vast majority of these guitars had an ebony board and at this time the Chaparral would have been a custom order anyway.

Overall the guitar is in great condition, especially for its age. No dents or dings, some polish swirls and light pick scratches MAYBE.

The truss rod cover and the back plate is missing, but those are replaceable if desired.

The neck is straight, it plays great and the frets show little to no wear.

Comes as pictured with original Hamer hard case.

The 1999 Hamer USA Chaparral in Black Sparkle with a maple fingerboard and a factory Sustainiac system is a highly customized, late-era iteration of Hamer’s premier high-performance superstrat. While standard production of the 6-string Chaparral guitar series originally peaked from 1985 to 1994, Hamer’s Arlington Heights or New Hartford custom shops occasionally fulfilled special custom-order batches or one-offs matching these exact build specifications later in the decade.

  • Neck Position (Sustainiac Driver): Outfitted with an active Sustainiac GA-1 / GA-2 system. When activated, the neck pickup serves as an acoustic sustainer driver—acting like a magnetic E-bow to vibrate the strings for infinite feedback sustain. When turned off, it operates as an active neck pickup.

  • Bridge & Middle Pickups: Typically paired with high-output Seymour Duncan passives (such as a Parallel Axis Trembucker or a classic JB Humbucker in the bridge, and a Parallel Axis Stack or single-coil in the middle).
