About Colchester Motorcycle Breakers

Colchester Breakers has been in business since 1984 where the company strategy included buying out smaller motorcycle breakers for the stock.

This has meant that the company stock holding is extensive and hugely diverse in that it has broken most models of Japanese and European motorcycles of all years.

Colchester Breakers actively continues to buy all makes, models and conditions of motorcycles from mint to salvage – including MOT failures, crashed, damaged, non-starters, and even stock from other motorbike breakers. Over the past 25 years we have built up a large stock, and can usually source bike parts that we don’t have.

We have an extensive range of used motorbike spares in stock, covering all makes and models of motorbike. Whether it’s Aprilia, Cagiva, Derbi, Ducati, Gilera, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, MV Augusta, Piaggio, Suzuki, Triumph, Vespa, Yamaha, or pretty much any other make of motorbike, we’re likely to have the right used spares for you!

We break and dismantle whole bikes, and our used motorbike spares stock includes alternators, brake parts, engine spares, exhausts, forks, frames, plastics, wheels, and much more!

Managing the business, alongside owner Ian Stewart, is motorcycle breaking guru Carl Morley, probably the most experienced motorcycle breaking expert in the country, who has worked for Colchester Breakers for over 25 years as well as Ian’s son Greg Stewart.

International Shipping

We have extensive experience shipping items safely and securely to buyers around the world, with thousands of successful international deliveries to destinations across the globe.

Whenever possible, we use eBay’s Global Shipping Programme. Your item is first sent to eBay’s UK shipping centre, where their trusted delivery partners manage the onward international journey. This provides added reassurance, with eBay support available should any issues arise during international transit.

For items or destinations not covered by eBay’s shipping service, we may be able to arrange international delivery directly. In these cases, we typically use reputable couriers such as UPS or FedEx.

Should checkout indicate that delivery is not available to your location, please contact us before purchasing. We will be happy to check whether alternative shipping arrangements can be made.

Returns

HOW RETURNS WORK

We take pride in the items that we sell, and we carefully check to ensure any faults or defects are listed in the item description to avoid any disappointment when the item is received.

If you wish to cancel an order or return a part please follow this procedure:

Get in contact with us.

Put the whole item and anything included with it back in a package. Please include a note with your name, address, contact number and a brief explanation of why you are returning the item.

Put the following address clearly visible on the box: Colchester Breakers Ltd, Breakers Unit, King Edward Quay, The Hythe, Colchester, Essex, CO2 8JB

Arrange the return with a courier of your choice. It is usually best to use a record/tracked service.

CONDITIONS OF RETURN

-The customer is liable for the return postage costs.
-The parts returned must be the same as the part sent out and in the same condition. It cannot be modified, tampered with, damaged or repairs attempted. We will not refund for items that have been damaged due to poor packaging/negligence.
-Refunds will only be made to the original source of payment.

Refunds will be processed within 5 working days of being received by us.

ENGINE WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

Warranty: 14 days (including weekends and bank holidays) from when the engine is received/collected.

What does it cover?

-The engine is too low on compression to run.
-The engine is seized.

What it doesn’t cover:

-Snapped exhaust studs, bolts or cracked covers.
-Accidental damage as a result of fitting the engine or otherwise.
-Engine issues as a result of use after purchase.
-Gaskets and oils.
-Any faults occurring as a result of fitting the engine.
-Repair costs or fitting costs.
-Return costs if the engine was collected by customer.

Conditions:

-The engine must not be stripped, modified or repaired unless we have explicitly stated to do so.
-Evidence of any issues must first be sent to us by images or videos.
-If a problem is found with the engine, the customer must contact us within the aforementioned 14 day period.
