Celebrate the spirit of the season with this charming early 20th-century New Year postcard. The front features an elegant oval vignette showcasing a serene winter landscape, complete with snow-laden trees, a rustic building by a tranquil body of water, and a quaint bridge. This picturesque scene is beautifully complemented by a decorative spray of pine boughs, rich pinecones, and subtle purple berries, all framed by a delicate pink border.
This festive greeting card, bearing the message "A New Year of Prosperity and Goodwill," reflects the hopeful sentiments of the era. The card's design suggests a lithographic printing technique, characteristic of postcards from the early 1900s. The reverse features a classic divided back, indicating its production in the post-1907 period, with the prominent "MADE IN U.S.A." marking its American origin. Part of a distinct "Series No. 406 New Year 6 designs," this collectible piece is a delightful representation of holiday well-wishes from a bygone era.
Postcards Under $20:
If you choose "FREE" shipping, the postcard will be sleeved and sent in a thin cardboard mailer using eBay Standard Envelope (ESE) tracking. Note that ESE tracking only tracks movement between processing centers and does not provide mailbox-to-mailbox tracking. A "Delivered" or "Out For Delivery" scan indicates that the postcard has reached the final sorting center prior to your local post office; it may take a few extra days, to a week (& add up to an additional week during Christmas), to reach your mailbox. Expect potential delays of up to 3 weeks within the U.S.
Free ESE Shipping Limitations: The cardboard mailer cannot be marked "Do Not Bend" nor "Hand Cancel" and the postcard cannot be sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard, as these options disqualify it from ESE shipping.
Upgraded Shipping - Ground Advantage or Priority:
YOU may choose to pay for Ground Advantage or Priority shipping, during checkout, for added protection, which includes a sturdy, thick cardboard mailer and mailbox to mailbox USPS tracking. If you wish to upgrade from ESE to Ground Advantage or Priority shipping after your purchase, please contact me immediately, and I'll provide a link to an eBay listing for you to purchase the additional shipping cost.
Postcards Over $20:
All postcards valued over $20 (before or after accepted offers) will only be shipped via Ground Advantage at the buyer's cost.
