A Dutch 935 solid silver box imported into London in 1911 by Berthold Hermann Muller. It conforms to the British sterling silver standard (hallmarked with the walking leopard). The top of the lid features a scene from Greek mythology: the gods of Mount Olympus frolicking and playing in a forest. The sides of the box are chased with various rustic village life scenes. Highly realistic design in excellent condition. Gilt interior. Approximately 9.5 x 7.5 x 3.5 cm, 141 grams.
