Vintage Y2K Emanuel Ungaro Pink Taffeta Evening Gown V-Neck Rosette Bow Dress Fits Women's US Size 6
I believe this is from Ungaro's main ready-to-wear runway line, ca. late 1990s / Y2K Archive era, circa 1998-2002.
Approximate measurements:
Bust: ca. 34 (note the bust has thin sewn in pads for structure)

Overall length: ca. 62" (note the skirt has two slash side pockets)

Condition: Has a small gray dot on the front top of the shoulder strap, and a small couple faint yellow/gray spots on the skirt. No issues with construction of fabric. Photos are overall accurate for actual color. Zip works smoothly. No issues with construction. The size tag and material care label are both absent, nor is the country of origin marked. Dryclean only.

~Flat measurement, back exterior pit to pit: ca. 15.25" across (deduct 1/4" to allow for inside measurement reduction)
~Flat measurement, back exterior waist: ca. 14.25" across (deduct 1/4" to allow for an inside measurement reduction)
~Curved measurement, interior bust: 19" total + 15" exterior flat pit to pit measurement = 34"
**The bust was measured following the curve of the cup from the interior side seam to the center of mesh panel to arrive at 9.5" for each half. Multiplied x 2 = 19" + the 15" flat pit to pit back measurement for the 34" bust
~Shoulder seam to waist: 14" L
~Waist to skirt hem: 48" L
Composition: The shell fabric is a high-quality crisp Taffeta with a signature structured rustling drape and soft satin sheen. Not positive, but I believe the taffeta is a silk-acetate blend, which Ungaro routinely used back in the day. The lining feels like a silk satin, with the crinoline layer in the skirt for added structure/volume. Everything appears factory original.
Ungaro avoided cheap polyester and synthetic materials in his main collections according to Google. The bust has thin sewn-in pads which were not meant for heavy push-up volume but stitched into the lining to specifically support the architectural drape of the plunging neckline and prevent a crisp, stiff fabric like taffeta from collapsing or puckering across the chest, again according to Google.
