RS232C Serial kit for the TRS-80 Model I designed and improved by Prof-80
Installs inside the Expansion Interface and allows connection to serial devices like modems, serial printers, and other PCs via null modem adaptor (null modem adaptor not included).
This is an improved version of the Radio Shack RS232 board which has not been available since 1984.
Improvements:
DIP Switch block and COM/TRM switch removed (they were seldom used)
UART, BRG, and line drivers are all socketed
Modern Traco power 5->12V converter uses much less power than the old Astec
Gold-plated connectors for reliability - one less connector to worry about on your Model I
Comes with RS232 serial cable and floppy disk with MAL/CMD and MODEM80/CMD comms programs and information CD.
