Stunning Royal Worcester figurine - India Boy - Piper

One of the "Children of the nations" series.

The Royal Worcester porcelain factory is the oldest, 

continuously operating, English porcelain factory still 

in production today.

Freda Doughty's models of 'Children of the Nations' were the 

most popular figures ever made by Royal Worcester. 

In the tough post-war years, it was said that sales 

of these figures alone kept the factory going.

Model number 3071 and He is made from fine bone China.

this figure is small in stature but big in character.

The model was issued between 1934 and 1959.

This particular model dates to c1956.

India measures approximately 8.5 cm (3.25") tall.

He is in good condition.

The pipe is missing its end as is unfortunately very common with this figure. 

The remaining part of the pipe may also be a replacement.

There are no other chips, cracks, crazing or restoration.
