A beautiful and prime fossil coral geode chunk from Georgia. The botryoidal formations are composed of thick translucent amber agate coated with river minerals. The shine is natural. Loads of interesting details. Reverse side shows the structure of the ancient coral. Photos don't do it justice. You won't be disappointed.

These coral pieces are excellent for cabochon jewelry work or for tumbling and polishing to reveal the glassy agate within. Photos taken dry.  Excellent addition to a rock, mineral, or fossil collection or for research and education.

Approximate measurements are 5" x 2.5" x 2". 

Georgia fossil coral is approx. 25-45 million years old, is around 7 on the Moh's scale, and is highly prized for jewelry and lapidary work.
