This is a classic Faribault trade style blanket. It shares the iconic design of the traditional fur trade point blankets historically made for the Hudson's Bay Company in Witney, England. Faribault Woolen Mills, of Faribault, Minnesota has produced their own famous versions of these quality wool camp and trade blankets. Made in the USA.

The solid red color with wide black bars near each end is one of the most classic trade designs. It features a whip stitch perimeter identifying it as the "Pure & Simple" line. It is machine washable in cold water. It weighs 2 pounds, 3 ounces of wool, a medium weight weaving. The original label was removed.

Faribault frequently used a blend of Rambouillet and Merino wool on these blankets. Quality of wool is exceptional.  Please compare with similars.
