The A5 Ultra Natural Fretless Semi-Acoustic Bass is a 5-string fretless instrument capable of blending piezo and magnetic pickup sounds to produce both acoustic and electric tones. It features a double-chambered body construction made of Canadian Laurentian Basswood—with air vents located at the control section instead of a traditional soundhole—and a solid spruce top that minimizes feedback risk while delivering responsive, acoustic resonance. The hard-rock maple neck feels familiar to electric bass players, and the Richlite fingerboard features subtle fret position inlays on the top edge for visibility while playing. The design balances aesthetics and playability, complete with a top-mounted thumb rest. When plugged in, the bass allows for independent output and control of two systems: a Lace Sensor magnetic pickup for modern, dynamic electric tones, and an LR Baggs saddle transducer system (with fully independent piezo pickups for each string) for authentic acoustic bass sounds.
