This watch is running strong, winds and sets properly. The movement is exceptionally clean and has excellent eye appeal with bright damaskeening and crisp engraving.
According to Illinois production records, this movement (Serial No. 1419290) comes from a production run of ONLY 20 movements, making it an UNUSUALLY SCARCE example for collectors. It also features a rare custom double sunk dial with HYMAN, BERG & CO. CHICAGO ( a very prominent chicago based jeweler and retailer ) on the dial.

The movement is exceptionally clean and attractive. It features cupped wheels.
The dial presents very well and retains excellent eye appeal. The gold-filled hunting case remains in very nice condition with attractive engraving and honest age-related wear.
The only issues worth noting is that the crystal does not appear to be original and fits loosely. It should be replaced or properly fitted if desired and the front lid snaps together loosely. Other than that, this is a wonderful collector-quality Illinois.
