Description
Rare Vintage Lot of Eight (8) Non-Identical SOHIO Decal Stickers, each measures approximately 3" in diameter. The different decal stickers represent increasing years of service in the company's employ beginning with 5 years and continuing for years 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40. The decal stickers have a white background and feature a gasoline service station advertising sign art deco design in gold similar in style to a corporate service award pin. The name "SOHIO", decorative trim and the number of years of service are in black. In addition, those for the years of service 10-40, inclusive, also include designs for precious stones which would have been incorporated into a corresponding service award pin as follows:
10 - Diamond
15 - Diamond and Ruby
20 - Two Diamonds
25 - Two Diamonds and Ruby
30 - Three Diamonds
35 - Three Diamonds and Ruby
40 - Four Diamonds
The Rare Vintage Lot of Eight (8) SOHIO Decal Stickers likely dates to the 1970's, and remains in new old stock excellent mint unused condition. The protective paper covering the adhesive backing on each decal sticker remains in place. They can easily be affixed to a smooth flat surface, if desired, or displayed without removing the protective backing.
