THAT’S DANCING! was MGM’s ambitious 1985 celebration of dance on film, covering generations of Hollywood performance and multiple styles of dance.

The film incorporates an extraordinary range of performers and historic footage, from Hollywood’s Golden Age through contemporary dance of the 1980s.

Of particular interest to pop-music collectors, the film also includes Michael Jackson, giving this early sealed VHS additional crossover appeal beyond traditional movie and VHS collecting.

Period home-video trade documentation shows that MGM/UA released THAT’S DANCING! on home video in July 1985 with a suggested retail price of $79.95 — a substantial price during the early VHS era.

This surviving factory-sealed, professionally graded example represents a particularly attractive piece of early MGM/UA home-video history.
