vintage Red Abu Garcia Ambassadeur round baitcasting reel, proudly made in Svängsta, Sweden. This particular reel is a fascinating crossover piece from the early 1970s. While the red side plate features the classic "Ambassadeur 6000" stamp, the foot and frame configurations match a wider 6000-sized build.Production Date: The reel foot is clearly stamped with the serial number 087100, dating its manufacture precisely to August 1971.Mechanical This reel has been loved and fished. It shows honest cosmetic wear, and dust, has been hidden away in my shop for 40 years scratches and minor anodizing wear along the rims of the red side plates (please closely inspect all provided photos for exact condition details). This is a fantastic, rock-solid Swedish-made reel that would make a great addition to any classic Abu Garcia enthusiast's lineup
