These are ductile iron beam clamps with a hardened steel setscrew. It is designed to attach a hanger rod to the top flange of a steel beam, bar joist, or similar structural member. The "junior" or "small mouth" version fits flanges up to 5/8" thick.Typical applications include:- Suspending pipe, conduit, ductwork, or cable tray from overhead steel beams in commercial or industrial construction (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, etc.).
- It clamps onto the top of the beam flange and provides a threaded hole for a 3/8" all-thread rod to hang downward.
