An unusual and beautifully detailed pair of vintage 14ct gold white opal drop earrings, probably dating from the mid-20th century.

Each earring features an oval white opal cabochon measuring approximately 9 x 6mm, displaying attractive flashes of green, yellow, orange and blue. The opals are individually claw set and suspended beneath an ornate botanical-style gold mount.

Particularly appealing is the articulated construction: both the decorative leaf sections and the opal drops move freely, giving the earrings lovely movement when worn.

The earrings are fitted with long shepherd-hook ear wires and are crafted in 14ct yellow gold and marked 14 SA.

Overall length approximately 37mm, maximum width approximately 13mm, with a combined weight of 3.66g.

Presented in good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description. These will come in a presentation box.
